HOME INVASION

About 12:30 on Saturday June 20, Ken Reid was called to the gate by a young neighbor, who kept him talking while two other young men, wearing handkerchiefs over their faces, entered the house by the unlocked kitchen door. Anne confronted them. They knocked her down and put a chokehold on her so she couldn´t call out. She lost consciousness.

They took a cell phone and a Kindle from the bedroom. When Ken started back to the house from the gate, they ran away. One, wearing a white cap, went over the back fence.
The other, bareheaded, ran out around the fence and went out at the front corner behind the casita, bending the fence.

We called the hot line twice but had difficulty getting through. Ken then called Azel, who called the hot line. Rodney then called Ken back and also called the police. Two men from Bugaba came promptly, asked if Anne needed medical attention, made a brief inspection and noted what had been taken, and
then left.

Friends then came to offer support, assist with finding a doctor, and make plans for further action.
