Six American tourists were robbed Tuesday, Feb 11,2014 in the evening hours in the area of Alto Quiel, in the district of Boquete, by four hooded and armed subjects, robbing them of $16,000 in cash, plus jewelry, cameras, shoes and camera lenses.

Affected in the assault were four people aged 59, one aged 61, and one aged 72, all American nationals, who were surprised by the assailants.

The evildoers traveled on a Four Wheel vehicle and a conventional motorcycle, hooded and threatened with two guns . Finally stripped $1,800 in jewelry, four smartphones valued at a thousand dollars, four cameras valued at over $6000 , lens for $300 and shoes at a cost of one thousand dollars .

Once criminals stripped the foreigners of their valuables, they left one of the weapons , which was a toy, and fled immediately.

Arriving at the scene were DIJ units and units of the National Police, who mounted several operations, but have no clues as to the assailants.

The Americans went to the Municipal Attorney of Boquete and filed a complaint for theft.
